Community Concierge Program
It’s difficult moving to a brand new community. We will make sure that getting in touch with the local Community Connectors isn’t.
The Community Concierge program is comprehensive and personalized with a goal to engage and welcome newcomers to the Bemidji area, as well as showcase all of the assets the greater Bemidji area has to offer.
This program is intended to enhance the quality of life for the newcomers in our area, while also providing a platform for our Community Connectors to advocate that our community is an attractive place to live, work and play!

I am an Employer
LET’S CONNECT YOUR EMPLOYEES AND THEIR FAMILIES TO THE COMMUNITY!
The focus of the Community Concierge program is assisting Bemidji area employers with the recruitment and retention of skilled, professional staff. Services are designed to introduce and connect the entire family to the community.
This resource is open for any Bemidji area business to use as they grow and attract skilled workers from out of the area.
While working with the HR department or managers at participating businesses, it will be important to establish a timeline of when to initiate contact with the Community Concierge for your employee prospects and/or new hires and their families. Ideally, when you (the employer) have recently hired (OR are in the final stages of recruiting) a new member of your professional staff, you would refer that employee to the Community Concierge program.
If you are interested in learning more about the Community Concierge program, we’d love to share how you can help your new professional staff and their families become more acclimated to the Bemidji community!
Contact Greater Bemidji at 218-444-5757 for more information on how to participate.

I want to be a Community Connector
ADVOCATING FOR OUR COMMUNITY STARTS WITH OUR COMMUNITY CONNECTORS!
Thank you for your interest in becoming a Community Connector!
Creating an extensive network of Connectors within the community to provide a welcoming environment to new residents of the Bemidji area is a key aspect of the Community Concierge program. A formal process (with the Concierge as the liaison) has been designed to introduce individuals and their family members to the community through the pairing of the newcomers with a Connector so interest and participation expectations can be aligned.
If you (or anyone you know) are interested in being a part of our network of Connectors, you can take that next step in supporting an individual or family getting acclimated to the area by CLICKING HERE to complete the Connector Survey.

Testimonials
"I chose to be a Connector because I know what it’s like to be new to a community. I love the concept of introducing someone to the town and showing them everything there is to love about their new home! Plus, you might even make a new lifelong friend. This program is a win-win for everyone!"
Chloe, Community Connector
"I had a blast getting to know Elisha and sharing what makes Bemidji shine, especially regarding our music/arts activities and outdoor fun. I was able to connect her to others in the community and look forward to getting together with her again soon."
Tiffany, Community Connector
"I had a fabulous time at lunch, and the lodge (at Ruttger's) is gorgeous! I am ever so amazed at how many beautiful places there are so close to home! I have yet been able to finish researching ALL THE MANY things my Connector spoke of. I feel blessed to have found the program and she was spot on with her knowledge of music and rec fun. The connection is perfect and I think what was shared with me will really help our family to get involved and start enjoying. 🙂 Thank you! Thank you!"
New Bemidji Resident (2021)
"As Community Concierge volunteers, we were connected with a young couple who has recently made their home together in Bemidji. Our initial plan to meet mid-afternoon went so well that we found ourselves spending time together right into dinner and beyond. We have since gotten together and are glad to have formed what will be a lasting friendship!"
